MOLY-BOND 500
If Its Tough Enough For The Sherman Tank Its Tough Enough For You
General Information
TITUS Moly-Bond 500 heat treated wear steel plate is intended for severe wear applications requiring a high degree of abrasion resistance.
Originally developed for extreme wear applications including ballistics, Titus Moly-Bond 500 combines a high carbon level with Titus’s proven manganese, moly-boron chemistry to produce a steel with up to fifteen times the wear resistance of ordinary steel.
Titus A/R “MOLY- BOND” is heat treated to provide a Brinell hardness range of 477 to 534 with a typical Brinell hardness of 514. Abrasion resistance is typically 5:1 compared to mild steels.
