OVERVIEW
- Combines sliding abrasion & impact resistance
- Surface work-hardens from 470 to 540 Brinell
- Cut & weld with low-hydrogen rod
- No pre/post heating necessary
- High tolerance to high-heat applications
- Out-performs AR400 & AR500
- Available in plate 4mm up to 3”
- Surface work-hardens from 200 to 550 Brinell upon impact
- Fully austenitic/non-magnetic
- 1.0 – 1.4 % Carbon and other alloys allow for work-hardening
- 25% harder then Low Carbon Manganese
- ASTM A 128, Grade “B” Hadfield Spec.
- Available in plate, 4mm up to 2” and bar stock in flats, rounds and squares
- Water-quenched martensitic steel
- Typical hardness of 370-420 (AR400) and 470-520 (AR500)
- Can be cut, machined, drilled, tapped, milled, bent, and welded
- AR400 for abrasion & moderate impact, AR500 for severe abrasion & low impact
- Available in plate 3mm (AR500) and up
- High impact and wear castings
